BudgetWise (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how BudgetWise handles information in connection with your use of our iOS application (the “App”).
By downloading or using BudgetWise, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We aim to minimise the personal information we collect. BudgetWise does not require a mandatory account to use core tracking features, and we do not ask for unnecessary personal identifiers to get started.
Data you enter into the App, including transactions, categories, budgets, companion preferences, recurring expense configurations, and similar app data, is designed to be stored locally on your device for core app functionality such as summaries, alerts, exports, reliability, and related product features.
Your app data is designed to be stored locally on your iPhone for core BudgetWise features. When limited operational information is needed for support, diagnostics, crash reporting, or waitlist communications, we handle it carefully and only for the purpose needed.
We rely on iOS platform protections, device-level security, secure transport methods where applicable, and careful access controls for operational systems. No method of storage or transmission is completely risk-free, but BudgetWise is built around safe, secure, on-device data handling.
BudgetWise may use analytics, diagnostics, crash reporting, or operational monitoring tools to help us understand app reliability, improve performance, and support product development. We aim to keep this use proportionate and focused on improving the app experience.
The App may rely on third-party service providers for limited operations such as infrastructure, diagnostics, crash reporting, communications, waitlist management, or related product support. We do not sell your data to advertisers or data brokers, and there are no in-app advertisements.
When you use the export feature to generate CSV or Excel files, those files are designed to be created from the data stored in your app. Exported files are then saved or shared using the destination you choose, which may be governed by third-party platform policies such as Apple’s or your selected storage provider’s policies.
You can delete your in-app data at any time by navigating to Profile → Reset All Data within the App, or by deleting the App entirely from your device. Limited operational records, such as diagnostics, support messages, or waitlist entries, may be retained for a limited time for security, reliability, legal, or service-related purposes.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the Effective Date above. If changes are material, we will notify you via an in-app notice on your next open of the App after the change takes effect. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
